About
What this is, and the lens we read through.
The Danube Lens publishes independent, data-driven macro and geopolitical analysis from a Central European vantage point. We sit where East meets West — close enough to the seams of the global economy to see the stress before it shows up in the headlines.
Our method owes a debt to the Austrian school of economics: a healthy distrust of aggregates, an eye for the second-order effects of cheap money and central planning, and a habit of asking who actually pays. We don't take official numbers on trust — we check what they leave out.
We have no house view to defend and no political team to root for. Where we can be wrong, we'd rather find out early. Every piece is built from sources you can follow.
